For fans of the highly popular series, the Collector’s Edition is not to be missed as it will include a host of never-before-seen collectible items not available anywhere else. All designed around RE5’s Kijuju setting and the game’s in-depth storyline, the box will include a Tricell messenger bag, Chris Redfield figurine, BSAA patch and Kijuju-inspired pendant. Bringing the entire collection together is a custom made steel case with special art showcasing signature elements of the RE5 campaign - the Kijuju writings, ominous number five and two-player co-op. In 2009, Capcom has released, or set to ship unbelievable titles this year. With Resident Evil 5 and S treet Fighter IV already inside consoles, and we have yet to see Bionic Commando , Lost Planet 2 , Marvel vs Capcom , Dead Rising 2 and Dark Void , we thought it was safe to assume that was everything had been announced for this year. Apparently we might wrong. Capcom got a lot of backlash from some people in the gaming community when they announced that the Resident Evil 5 DLC for a Versus Multiplayer Mode will be paid DLC. Gamers were particularly upset that it was coming so soon after the release of Resident Evil 5, charging that it should have been simply included on the RE5 disc. Resident Evil 5 now sits solidly at the top of the Japanese sales charts , with the PS3 version leading the charge. The game released in Japan last week to long lines of eager fans . The PS3 version is the number one selling game at 312,000 units, handily beating the second place DS game, 7th Dragon , which sold 80,000 units. The Xbox 360 version of RE5 is in a close third with 79,000 units sold.
