Xbox Games Still Fun to Play and Super Cheap
By Steve Bruce
It’s getting easier and easier nowadays to find cheap Xbox games. If you own and are a fan of Microsoft’s first video game console you probably were as excited as I was about the release of there follow up model the Xbox 360. Personally, I wasn’t that excited because I bought one. I’m stoked because the prices of the original Conker: Live & Reloaded and Forza Motorsport are hitting the floor as a result of this. Cheap Xbox games are suddenly everywhere, and I love every minute of it.
Games that used to be in the $30-50 dollar range are now in the five to ten dollar ranges. Some especially cheap Jade Empires or MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf can be found for less than five dollars on places like eBay. This is a great example of the financial advantage of staying one step behind the current generation of technology, a tactic I’ve been using with computers for years.
The best way to find cheap Xbox games is to start browsing online. With just a bit of investigation you can find some fantastic deals on great ones like Blinx 2: Masters of Time & Space to order. Many different companies sell Halo 2 or Fable, and to stay competitive they’re constantly dropping their prices. One online site I like to use is the one I’ve already mentioned, EBay. EBay is a great source for cheap prices on Sudeki, even if it’s used. I’ve never had any problems with a used Xbox game, and so if you were trying to get Fable: The Lost Chapters I would recommend looking for a pre-owned one.
A lot of local stores will carry used Xbox games as well if you don’t like buying on eBay. One chain I like is EB Games. EB Games is just about everywhere in the U.S. now, and they usually have a good selection of RalliSport Challenge 2, Counter-Strike, and Project Gotham Racing 2. While you can search for specific used Xbox games on their web site, sometimes it’s fun to just pop into one of their stores if one’s in your area. Actually perusing their used selection shelf may help you catch a title or two you might not have thought to search for.
As more next generation video consoles continue to come out, I can only guess the prices on Xbox Music Mixer and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge are going to continue their downward spiral. Keep your eyes open and stay vigilant on the Internet. You’re sure to find all of the cheap Xbox games you’d ever want. And when the replacement for the Xbox 360 comes along I’ll be doing the same with those games also.
